Connecting Research to Business for Over 20 Years

BMTC was born during the 1985 Sunbelt Venture Capital Conference in Houston. Presidents of several local startup biomedical companies decided to form an invitation-only organization which came to be called the Bio/Medical Technology Club of Houston.

For more than 20 years the Bio/Medical Technology Club of Houston (BMTC Houston) has been a networking mainstay in Houston life sciences.

BMTC is led by a volunteer board of volunteers. Speakers representing various interests in our industry speak at monthly breakfast meetings to share ideas and encourage open debate.

Today, the Club continues to offer a vibrant forum for education, conversation and connection.

Our mission was and is to foster the development and growth of biotechnology and life science in Houston. We accomplish this mission by:

  • Providing an informal forum for information exchange on the commercialization of biotechnology, bioengineering, medicine and related ideas
  • Stimulating discussion regarding new commercial life science enterprises in Houston
  • Fostering development of action networks united in common goals
Email BMTC for more information about the organization and its programs.
